Dr. Thomas Pultar and a consortium of private investors purchased the biotech company BioReliance Manufacturing GmbH from its parent, Invitrogen Europe Ltd., in a management buy-out 2006. Prior to the MBO, Dr. Pultar served the company successfully as Managing Director for more than six years. From 1991 until 2000 he worked as Head of Biotech Production in the same company. Dr. Pultar received his Ph.D. in microbiology at the University of Tuebingen.
